- Stink bugs will usually only release their unpleasant odor if threatened or when squashed. Since they do not breed in the colder months and instead seek shelter, there is no need to worry about stink bug eggs inside your home. It is best to just remove them with a paper towel and place outside, back into nature.
- To keep stink bugs away from your yard and garden, try mixing lavender oil with your water and spraying it directly on your plants. Keeping garden beds clear of weeds and yard free of debris will also add as a deterrent for the stink bugs.
