- Adult male Joro spiders are much smaller and duller in color compared to females, with a body length of only 0.3 inches. The males are typically light brown, with lateral stripes that are dark brown.
- Their large size makes them comparable to the Carolina Wolf Spider, which is the biggest wolf spider in the country.
- The Joro is an invasive species that is currently settled in Georgia, likely after it hitchhiked on a cargo ship from Asia.
